Veterinary Pathology is a field of Veterinary Medicine that deals with the pathology of all animal species, including research animals, domestic animals, zoo and wildlife animals and comparative pathology of human and animal diseases.

The American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) is the certifying society for board certification in the field. Dr. Ward is presently an Associate Editor for the journal, Veterinary Pathology, and has published over 500 publications as  author or co-author in refereed journals and over 100 book chapters.

Dr. Ward has over 40 years of veterinary pathology experience including many species of animals.
